Learning Objectives

  • Learn about the relational affects of shame and guilt and how these emotional can either support or undermine the child’s sense of self.

  • Discuss the importance of integration in Gestalt Play Therapy

  • Practice methods used in Gestalt Play Therapy that facilitates integration of “unwanted” or introjected aspects of self.

  • Develop skills in working with puppets
